Welcome back ladies and gentlemen, today, spoilers here people, this game is somewhat like what it sounds and doesn’t try to hide what it is, a Zombie game.
This game is Open world and multiplayer, against player controlled zombie/human and other people or friends or a simply play alone in 2 large open world spaces, 3 if you get the "The Following" DLC (Downloadable content).
Plot

You, the player, assume the role of the protagonist, undercover agent Kyle Crane. You are dropped into the fictional city of Harran. You are sent to infiltrate the quarantine zone, You are to find a corrupt political figure named Rais or Kadir Suleiman, who went rogue during the outbreak of the zombies which has only infected this island. He is sent to retrieve a file that could and will destroy the reputation of his agency. When he arrives, he has a choice, complete the mission or help the other survivors being led by Harris Brecken.

Just about everyone is infected but a medicine is a temporary solution to keep them from turning, named Antizin, which slows and suppresses symptoms of turning. in order for Crane to complete his mission and save both himself and any survivors, he will have to risk his life time and time again in order for to do that, and make very difficult decisions.
Crane's objective after a certain point is to go after Rais, the antagonist, to keep him from escaping with a very important item. As the Agency betrays him and then tries to make it up to him.
Game play

Now the game play is definitely unique as you are able to parkour across roof tops and grapple hook from one building to another farther away, which will be a constant savior.
The game has a dynamic day and night cycle as it turns to night, enemies become much more aggressive, which means if you're playing with online active, you have a high chance of being attacked by the Player controlled Night Hunter, which YOU can play as well, which is really cool considering most zombie games are about you killing and not being one. Players get a multitude of weapons and gear, and survivor sense, showing special infected at night or crates, baskets, closets you can open, even cars (cars only for The Following DLC).

Your best friends in this game at night is for sure all the perks you can get, extra perks if you get to max level and hit legendary levels, but most of all, Ultraviolet lights are essential for stopping runners/volatiles/weakening the Night Hunter. You have 3 sections, agility, survival, and power. Agility is by far the easiest way to level. But running isn't always going to be an option when being hunted down by the powerful Night Hunter.
The Following DLC will give you a new skill tree which I'll let you find out. The game has more than 100 weapons and a 1000+ combination when players craft new weapons. Bad news, you cannot keep these weapons for one reason, they will degrade and you can only fix them a certain amount of times, so be careful when using your favorite weapons. Around the 2 or 3 world spaces you will traveling through, during Night Hunter visits, you don’t need to worry about weapons degrading or they won't break for short. Experience points are earned for doing anything of the 3 (once again, The Following DLC 4 skill trees) skill trees. 5 in total if you reach level 25 and begin legendary levels.
Opinion

This game is not new, not old either, but with friends you will have lots of fun shocking zombies standing in a puddle of water, or drop kicking them from the rooftop to the streets below. There is a lot to do and lots to find out. You can play if you ever feel pissed off and need to take a breather, or just simply want to kill time. The game delivers a experience for players who are just trying to get into zombie games or those who want to chop a zombie in half. I recommend it for those if you really want a game to have fun with, up to 4 players, yourself and 3 others.
